My Journey: Becoming a Scented Candle Connoisseur

So, you may be asking yourself, "Just how did you become a scented candle connoisseur?" Well, I guess the journey began many years ago -- during that time in my life about my only interest in candles was when I picked up a set of Glade scented candles at my local supermarket.

Now don't get me wrong -- Glade scented candles are actually a great value for the money, if you need a no-fuss scented candle and aren't too particular about the fragrance. The same could be said, I guess, about the traditional pine scented candle -- it does a fair job of eliminating odors but it is still a basic candle for everyday use.

My journey into the appreciation of scented candles really began about 10 years ago, when someone gave me a set of triple scented jar candles during the winter holiday season. I just loved those things -- I burned them off and on throughout the entire winter -- and I discovered that the triple scented candle has a fragrance that is much stronger and the candle fragrance will last longer than other types.

For a while I purchased a designer scented candles -- some of these I left unopened in the living room of our home -- mostly to impress visitors, I guess -- but I soon tired of these because I really didn't like the fragrances, and the high price tag put me off.

Things really began to get interesting when I discovered the existence of scented gel candles! I love the way that the candle makers can embed small objects into the base of these candles -- and the scented gel candle formulation allows you to look right through them so you can enjoy these candles as a display as well as for their fragrance.

Another area where I have discovered a wonderful use for candles is in the bathroom. If you are looking to spend some "romantic time" with your special partner, scented floating candles are just the ticket -- pure adult enjoyment. The next time you want to get in a romantic mood, just slip into your bathtub, turn off the lights, and light some scented floating candles -- the effect is wonderful!

Recently I have discovered the benefits of buying scented candles in bulk -- wholesale scented candles, including wholesale scented jar candles, can be purchased from a number of different sites on the Internet -- in some instances you can purchase them by the case. Purchasing scented candles at wholesale prices can save you a lot of money -- especially if you need a special fragrance or an expensive glass holder.

Well, I'm really not sure that you would call me a scented candle connoisseur -- maybe I'm just someone who has learned to appreciate scented candles a lot, and who has learned a little bit about buying them along the way. Whatever -- I don't need to be an expert to know that they are delightful items to keep around the home, and I really enjoy them.
